Abstract

In the following study we have used online methods to detect and diagnose the occurrence of problems which constitutes the large part in the failures of transformers, the primary and secondary currents and voltages are taken as the input parameters for testing faults. Every fault in transformer rises a unique peak in current and will be analysed using wavelet in the proposed design for the detection of fault.

Active power filter for harmonics mitigation


Abstract

As the technology is progressing, usage of non-linear load is increasing day by day. These non-linear loads inject harmonic current into the power system, which lead to numerous power quality issues. A method of active power filtering to mitigate current harmonics of non-linear load in single phase is presented in this paper. In this method instantaneous reactive power theory is employed for reference generation and PWM signal is generate with hysteresis band controller.
